Visiting the Gorge during one of the wettest springs on record.

May, 2010

Summer has finally arrived in the great northwest, though it sure took its sweet time showing up. It was all we could do just trying not to drown in the record-breaking amount of rainfall Oregon was doused with during May and June-uary. So we pretty much missed out on having a spring and are keeping our fingers crossed that it stays warm for a long time.

We spent the months formerly known as spring visiting with Kathi's sister Sandy and her family, who flew to Oregon all the way from Georgia because they could not get wet enough there. Mike undertook major renovations on his rental house, since there wasn't much of a fishing season for him to miss. Kathi sloshed through the mud to work on gardening and landscaping projects. Barkley got pretty good at catching chipmunks (eeewwwwwwww). And Sierra worked on finishing up her credits at Lane and tried to figure out what school to attend next year.

Now that it's warm, we're focused on gardening, landscaping, absorbing Vitamin D, making jam, eating berries, and vacationing.

Belated best wishes for June...
